Refund Policy
Effective date: July 30, 2026 · Last updated: July 30, 2026
1. Who Issues Refunds
Contributions made through Manna are received by the organization you chose to support — a candidate committee, political action committee, party committee, or nonprofit (the “Organization”). Manna is the technology and payment platform; we do not hold your contribution.
Refund decisions are made by the Organization that received your contribution. Manna does not issue refunds on an Organization’s behalf and cannot override an Organization’s refund decision.
2. How to Request a Refund
If you would like a refund, contact the Organization directly. Their contact information appears on the receipt emailed to you at the time of your contribution, and you can reply directly to that receipt to reach them.
If you cannot reach the Organization, or you need help with the payment itself (for example, you do not recognize a charge or believe it was made in error), email Manna at support@mannagive.com and we will help you contact them.
We ask that you contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A dispute takes significantly longer to resolve than a refund and creates costs for the Organization you supported. In most cases we can resolve the issue faster directly.
3. Recognizing Your Charge
Contributions appear on your card statement with a descriptor identifying the Organization you supported, and in some cases Manna. Where you do not recognize a charge, contact us before disputing it and we will identify the contribution and the recipient for you.
4. Timing and Processing
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method. A refund cannot be directed to a different card or account.
- Once issued, a refund typically appears on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer.
- Refunds issued through Manna are for the full contribution amount. An Organization may issue a partial refund directly through its payment processor.
5. Campaign Finance Considerations
An Organization may be legally required to refund all or part of a contribution, for example where a contribution exceeds an applicable contribution limit or where the contributor is not eligible to give. Organizations are responsible for identifying and making these refunds under applicable federal, state, and local campaign finance law.
Refunded contributions remain part of an Organization’s reporting records, and both the original contribution and the refund may appear in public disclosure filings.
6. Platform Fees
Where a contribution is refunded, the full amount you contributed is returned to you. Manna’s platform fee is not refunded to the Organization and is borne by the Organization, not by you.
